Homework for Lesson Three
**Do not work together on this one – you’ll understand after you read below**
So far, we have learned the following chords: G, C, D, D minor, E, E minor, A, A minor.
Compose your own warm-up activity including all of the chords we have learned so far!
The warm-up should:
1. Be arranged in a way that sounds good to you. Pick a chord to start with and decide what will sound good next. Play around with the chords – it’s okay if you have to go through every one of them to find a match… It’s like matching condiments to food items. Keep in mind that this is knowledge that is already inside of you. You’ve been trained in “what sounds good” for years by listening to the radio and deciding if you like or dislike a song.
2. Include a time signature
3. Include a strum pattern
4. Email a copy of your warm-up to Glenn (gedviimusic@gmail.com)
5. After collecting and grading, Glenn will send you a new warm-up created by your classmate (this is obviously why you can’t work together).
6. Go through your classmate’s warm-up routine 10-15 times throughout the week.
